The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU ePrivacy rules and Canadian privacy law cover cookies and anything else a website stores on, or reads from, your device. This page lists everything fortunecookies.cloud uses, and what our banner stores on our clients’ websites.
On fortunecookies.cloud
We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, which is why this site has no cookie banner.

Both are strictly necessary for something you asked for (a display preference, or sending a form), so the law doesn’t require consent for them.

Our banner on clients’ websites
When a client’s website shows our banner, the banner itself stores one thing on your device, on that website:

It’s strictly necessary to remember your choice, so it doesn’t need consent. The banner sets no other cookies. The other cookies on that website, and what each one is for, are listed in that website’s own cookie policy, which our banner links to.
Controlling storage
You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. On a client’s website, the fortune cookie button or the “Cookie settings” link lets you change your choices; clearing fc_consent makes the banner ask again.
